Our Icy Planet: The Future of the Cryosphere in a Warming World

We depend on ice for everything from fresh drinking water to moderate temperatures to agricultural sustainability. Join Ross Powell from NIU’s Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences to explore how ice levels have varied throughout history, how ice has shaped human activity, and how the fate of the cryosphere is tied to the fate of humanity itself.
