Physics Olympics 2009

NIU’s Physics Olympics

A day of physics challenges designed to encourage thinking-outside-the-book.

Teams of 4-5 high school physics students compete in several lab or design challenges and one team problem solving challenge. A few of the tasks may seem simple at first glance, but when competing against other physics students from across northern Illinois, students need to think creatively to win.

NIU's Physics Olympics is next planned for Spring Semester 2010. To be contacted by email when dates and challenges are announced contact Pati Sievert at psievert@niu.edu and include "Physics Olympics" in the subject field.
